Quick, Inexpensive Holiday Cards

I borrowed some of Danny's crayons, glitter, and glue. No special materials, no special paper. It took about 30 minutes to make the card.

Obviously, not the way to go if you have a long list, but for a few special people, a hand drawn card is nice.

ooh! kinda Georges Rouault, with a little Marc Chagall.

BTW, I didn't know the Wise Men could buy classic yellow raincoats.

Gee, he does look a bit like the Gorton's of Gloucester Fisherman. Maybe I ought to give him a pair of wellies.

Did I ever tell you about writing to Chagall in fourth grade...and he wrote back. In French, but he still wrote back, which was incredibly generous.

Wow!! Do you still have that letter? Pretty amazing! I wrote to the Pres of the US about that time (Johnson).. later that year, I rec'd a postcard Xmas card signed by Lyndon & Ladybird. I've since lost the scrapbook with that and other memories.

No, and I really wish I did.

So many of my belongings were handed over to my sister's children by my mother (as they figured I'd never want them-asking might have been nice, but whatever)that I don't really have any of my books, toys, etc. I had a large-ish scrapbook too-god knows what became of it.
