Layered Ice Cream

This is the easiest way to "fancy up" some ice cream, though as you can see I did a rather half-assed job of it.

Line a loaf pan with cling film leaving enough to pull up over the sides. Spread your ice cream in. I used a layer of chocolate mini-chips between the chocolate and raspberry, but you could use anything. Wrap tightly and chill. Then, decorate as you like. I did buttercream, jimmies, and chocolate ribbon on the edges.

Now, for that raspberry ice cream recipe:
It sounds too simple to be as good as it is.

2 pints raspberries, pureed, and sieved to remove seeds
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar.

Warm milk and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Stir in raspberries. Chill mixture before transferring to a metal pan. Freeze, stirring with a fork every thirty minutes until firm. Either press into a mould, or store in a plastic container.
