The Girls Would Turn the Colour of an Avocado...

At some point in the 70's, between the oversized florals and the foiled bamboo, there was a fashion for wallpaper in a similar print to my jacket.
The colours would have been in the same range as well. Avocado. The best rhyme ever for avocado is El Dorado:
So yeah, I'm dressed like 70's wallpaper and kitchen appliances. I tried to echo no-wax linoleum with my bangles, but I don't think I'm quite there.
Outfit Particulars:

70's polyester jacket-Thrift World .98 cents
Green dress-Sears, about 8 years ago
Seashell pin-Hand-Me-Ups
Earrings-K Mart
Bangles-all over the place

I think Pablo Picasso probably did get called, "asshole" even in New York. Here's the studio recording:

I love that you compared yourself to kitchen appliances. Who knew you and the stove could match? You rock polyester:). I am totally waiting for the striped pant suit:)

I have a brown and white striped pants/shirtwaist combo in lovely polyester blend double knit. Will it do?

No kitchen ever looked half as good as you do!!! You have become my daily dose of humour, so I thank you for keeping me laughing!!!

You see, SOME people might think that being dressed like 1970s wallpaper and kitchen appliances always a bad thing. Those of us assembled here know differently. Love the frock and bangles, takes me back to our old avocado bathroom suite. In a good way, of course! xxx

I like this frock - I am into green at the moment. You have so many jackets. You look fab and I like the floatiness of the frock too.

Dammit, I JUST got this song out of my head and now you have put it back in.

@ propagatrix

Sorry! I mean, what are the odds of anyone (except you) knowing the song?

BTW, do you have a blog, or tumblr or someplace I can come over and bother you? Your profile doesn't show anything, and I'm starting to wonder if we were separated at birth siblings or something. Anyway, if you have a spot, let me know, and I'll link you.

How very sweet! I'm not really doing anything blog-wise right now, but as summer is approaching I will soon be reviving my "Stupidity on the Bus" blog. This is a compilation of dumb tings I overhear on public transit, and summertime is Prime Stupidity Season because all the UC-Berkeley students go back and forth to San Francisco for jobs/internships and say the dumbest things en route. Will keep you advised of Grand Reopening!
