Around the Neighbourhood

Let's begin at my favourite photo spot outside the Swanson library. The house behind me in the photo is currently for sale. I really hope the new owners don't get any ideas about painting it a different colour or something. I wouldn't care to live right beside the library-you get all sorts of idiots posing for photographs there.

Who's that bum on the ground drinking grappa?
That's no bum
That's our Papa!
(Not really. I mean, yes, that's really Mr. ETB, but he hasn't been drinking grappa).
How about we do a bit of thrifting? Most of the outfit I was wearing today came from Hand-Me-Ups, so it was like a homecoming of sorts. Gosh, I love this shop.
But for the really strange stuff, you have to go to Walgreen's. I don't see why a plastic rat with flashing red eyes should be limited to Halloween.

Or this irritated looking owl that hangs in Danny's window.
This is the busy intersection near where I live. They give you 28 seconds to make it across before the light turns. I can still make it-with some time to spare. I'm walking uphill-my posture is bad, but isn't *that* bad.

Outfit Particulars:

Velvet burn-out skirt-Hand-Me-Ups
Velvet Jacket-Hand-Me-Ups
Pink blouse-Thrift World
Vintage Naturalizer shoes-Hand-Me-Ups
Grey Clarks walking shoes-Goodwill
Bracelet-Hand-Me-Ups
Flower-Tiff and Tam
Vintage hat, "Shagfelt" by Terry Company (no comment)
1950's patent leather handbag-Salvation Army
Earrings-Hand-Me-Ups
Skull ring-Walgreen's
Necklace-Von Maur
Fragrance-White Shoulders

Danny's wearing my blue corduroy blazer, a K Mart polo neck, a Flat cap from Dillards, and a pin from Hand-Me-Ups. The  look that screams, "I don't know these people", is all his own. I can't imagine why he finds us embarrassing?

But eventually, it was time to head home. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

O, yeaaaaah, rats with glowing red eyes are for EVERYDAY. Except when my Peepers drags them in at night for a frolic under the bed. I might have to Halloween-a-fy my desk, dammit.
Love Danny's cap! You looks a bloody treat. There is NOTHING like a reliable thrift shop! One that always comes up with something delightful. Hand Me Ups is yours, my local (to work) Sallies is mine!

@Helga

The farm cats would bring me, "Presents" too. None of them had glowing eyes though.

Oh yes, decorate your desk!

I put glow-in-the-dark spiders in the front garden. When the drunken teens next door stumble in late at night...well, I'm expecting a 3 AM scream.

Hello Mr ETB, nice to meet you at last. Danny wears a cap well, he is so cute but tell him I said handsome, boys don't like to be told they are cute. I love the name of that shop, hand me ups, perfect!!
