Jumpsuit Week-Day Five

Today's jumpsuit really reminds me of surgical scrubs due to the colour and material. I'm an anthropologist, not a surgeon but eh, whatever...

Okay, so I have an ice pick and a hammer...the Internet says you shove it up under your eyelid (really kids, don't try this at home)...oh sod it, I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than have a frontal lobotomy.

 Let's try a Knockout:

1 oz. gin
1 oz. vermouth
1 oz. Anesone
1 teaspoon white creme de menthe
Stir well with ice, strain into a sour glass and serve with mint leaves.

Outfit Particulars:
1980's jumpsuit-Goodwill .49 cent sale
Vintage handbag-Goodwill
Boots-K Mart
1990's belt-Express
Brooch-had it since the 80's
Earrings-New Life Thrift
Fragrance-Marni

Indeed. Cheers!

Do you know that when one flies Air India the cabin crew (who all look like Bollywood stars) walk up and down the aisles clutching Beefeater Gin in one hand and Famous Grouse Whisky in the other and aren't happy until you're utterly sozzled. No wonder it's my favourite airline!
Now that's a proper 1980s colour, that lovely jade green. It looks fab on you and I love those boots, bringing it bang up to date. xxx

That jumpsuit is a fabulous colour - nothing like surgical scrubs here at least. I love your grey boots too and your brooch looks like Cloisonne one. I had a mad passion for Cloisonne earrings in the 80s and 90s but only have one pair left...I do have a couple of Cloisonne brooches though.

Hope you have a fab weekend, Goody.

Oh my heavens, that jade green with the metallic booties is just so 80's!!!
You'd need some much bigger & scary hair, huge button earrings, & some gargantuan shoulder pads to makes that truly authentic.
A note to those who like flying on airlines who serve copious amounts of alcohol- bring an empty liter bottle or 2 on the plane and keep pouring your free drinks into it while asking for refills. I've seen my fellow Indian passengers do this to take home a free liter of liquor or 2. Do not try this if you're going on a multiple flight journey. Or I guess you could but only on the last flight to your destination.

"I may be drunk, but at least I'm not insane..."!? Catchy tune, this, and the gentleman claims he's inspired/sponsored by Mata Hari absinthe?! Well, of course, this is exactly what one drinks whilst garbed in a .49 cent sale pantsuit, accessorized with attitude! (Bibi is spot on about the hair, earrings and shoulder pads: you're much too close to borderline-normal, approaching attractive, as is.)

@vix
Famous grouse is one of those things I've come across mentioned in books, movies, etc. but never encountered in real life. I prefer Boodles to Beefeater, but the latter is cheaper-in fact I just bought three bottles today on a deep sale (the winters are really long in the American midwest).

@Veronica
That brooch is marcasite, but looking at the photo it does appear cloisonne. What colour are the surgical scrubs in the UK?

@Bibi
Oh, that's lie my nana emptying all the sugar packets and bread basket into her handbag when we'd go out for a meal!

Somewhere I have a photo of myself with big 80's hair-I promise to dig it out for a post-you'll get a good laugh.

@Beth
Yeah, he's practically Toulouse-Lautrec at the Moulin Rouge.
I've been inspired to song by Tab with a twist of lime, so I guess I'm not sophisticated.

That jumpsuit's colour is lovely, even if it is slightly reminiscent of surgical scrubs! But who cares after a few glasses of Beefeater Gin? Cheers! xxx

I have a feeling that scrubs here are sky blue, though it's been years since I've been in a hospital. I'd never have thought of your jumpsuit looking like scrubs if you hadn't said anything.

Can't believe you chaps don't get Famous Grouse - then again, we don't really drink Johnnie Walker over here; I was startled to discover that it really is Scotch as I'd assumed it had to be bourbon as we never see it. (Mum gave me a bottle of 15-year-old Dalwhinnie single malt last week. Yeeeeees.
