Christmas Brooch of the Day-Day Twenty Three

Today's brooch proves wrong the rule against wearing silver and gold together. No markings on this little tree.

That tree almost looks like chocolate with gold leaf!

Yes! That was my first thought too. I imagined it had come from a fancy chocolate shop with a purchase. JanF

That's by far the prettiest tree brooch you've shown us. And yes, I did think the silver looked like chocolate too. It looks good enough to eat! xxx

ok. - its not just my craving for chocolate - when all the other girls see it too!
this rules are only made to make us buy more stuff - until the 50s it was totally normal to mix different genuine metals in one piece - just how it was needed for the end effect :-)

I, too, took one quick glance and had flashbacks to the Godiva chocolate shop in the old Indianapolis airport. Glorious gold foil and REAL chocolate everywhere, and one could assemble tiny boxes of samples!
