Woman of a Thousand Faces

When I shared this photo on Instagram, someone commented that I look like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I thought that was a bit of a stretch until I consulted Google and, well...
OK, then! Same taste in clothes as well.
That got me thinking of all the people I've been told I look like through the years and more recently from readers here and on Instagram. This is a long, photo-heavy post, so get comfortable!
When I was younger, I would frequently be told I looked like Bette Middler...
Then she went blonde and started dressing better, so that was that. I would happily dress like 70s Bette-she had a great style.
For several years in the late 70s, I was told I looked like Stephanie Powers. I never saw that either...
Maybe a little around the eyes, but I still don't see it. Still, you could be compared to worse looking people.
Helena Bonham Cater...
I wish! But no, definitely not.
Adrienne Barbeau...
OK maybe, but not because of my face😁.

Speaking of boobs, I've been told several times that I look like Laine Kazan

Gosh, that's actually fair! But really, no one ever noticed anything about her except the size of her knockers. I'm starting to sense a trend.

Let's not forget Jennifer Saunders...

 But that's not even the worst of it...

...all I need is a ukulele

I  even looked like Tiny Tim as a kid! It really is a pity I'm not musical!

and really, this is just scratching the surface! I definitely need to do a part two, as I've left off so many of the people I've been told I resemble. I guess I just have an interesting face! I've had people approach me convinced they know me, and I always wonder which celebrity they're thinking of!

What about you? Do you resemble anyone famous?

Gilda Radner & Lainie Kazan are the two I have always thought you favored.
As a brunette, I was often told I look like Linda Ronstadt, Sandra Bullock, and my famous third cousin - Ava Gardner. As a blonde, I've been told I look like Anna Nicole, the singer Pink, Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Ann Jillian, Loni Anderson, Diana Dors and (insert any platinum blonde female celebrity here).

What a fun post. I can definitely see some resemblances. Jennifer Saunders, and especially Tiny Tim cracked me up. I'm sure you'd be able to find a ukulele at one of your regular thrift store haunts if you waited long enough. When I was about 18, there was a one hit wonder band I can't remember the name of, and was told I looked like its singer. In my punk years I was a Siouxsie look alike, especially the hair. And recently, I was told by a flea market trader that I looked like a presenter on one of the Belgian commercial television stations. I was kind of chuffed as I love that presenter's retro looks. xxx

That first outfit is divine!
What a fun post. I can see the similarity with the young Bette Middler.
As a blonde it was Barbra Streisand I was always compared to, now it's Cher! x

Lovely post, mwhaha. I totally agree on dressing like a 70's Betty Midler, she rocked! and Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a RockStar!. Most of the people comments are pretty unexpected, sometimes in a good way!
I've been told that I look like a series character that I've never watched, Penélope García from 'Criminal Minds'. I think she looks fab in the pictures I've saw so I'm becoming ridiculously proud of this shit!
besos

When young and permed, I got Emma Samms or a young Angela Lansbury. When fat, Rosie O’Donnell. Now: Edna Mode from THE INCREDIBLES.

Marika Rokk is the entertainer I've been told I resemble. Yes, I had to Google her, too, but when younger and slimmer, there was a match in our blonder youth.

One could do much worse than have one's style compared with RBG! But Laine Kazan could be a sibling, especially around the eyes.

I love your first outfit;it's just fabulous! You are far prettier than the woman you were compared to wearing that first outfit. I have no idea who Gilda Radner & Lainie Kazane are but I think you are you and there is no like you anywhere!!

When I was about 17 I had an afro and was often liken to Yvonne Goolagong - an Aboriginal Australian tennis player!

Have a great week.

Mmm, Helena Bonham Carter. I'd seize that compliment. I reckon you and she would have an ace time with each other's wardrobes - you both like a fun accessory, and give no stuffs for what people in general think of your outfits.

I rarely get likened to anyone, though I've had a few comments in past months that make me think I'm channelling a more identifiable 60s look nowadays.

I still say you have Kathryn Hepburn's beautiful wavy hair! : )

And as I look at those two photos of you when you were much younger, I see a striking resemblance to your son.

@Bibi
You remind me of Ava Gabor and a little bit of Barbara Eden (but not in the Genie getup).

@Ann
I want to see you looking like Souxsie!!!

@Vix
Definitely Cher-but better!

@Senora Allnut
That's accurate, you do look like her. I've never watched the show-wonder if it is any good?

@Beth
You remind me of Blair Brown!

@Veronica
You remind me of my great aunt. She had perfect hair, and could knit a blanket whilst watching television AND carrying on a conversation. She was remarkable-like you!

@Mim
You remind me a bit of a very young Rusty Warren (of Knockers Up fame). Not once she got old though.

@Emily
When Danny was very little he looked like his Dad, now he looks more like me. He gets told he looks like Jim Morrison, and he's not entirely thrilled with that.

@Beate-you still look like Grace Kelly!
