It's A Lie

I think, perhaps the er...storytelling, is coming back to bite me on the arse.

Last weekend, we went to the Cathedral Flower Show at St. Cecelia's in Omaha. Danny's never been inside a Catholic church, and he was interested in having all the details explained to him.

Staring up at a rather large crucifix, Danny asked:

"What's that all about?"

I tried to give him an explanation of the crucifixion, and resurrection that would be accessible to a five year old who is not of the faith-to which he pointed to the crucifix and replied:

"It's a lie! It's a lie! And I also don't believe Kansas is a colony for stupid people."

I was too mortified to notice if anyone gave us a dirty look.

I totally want Danny's autograph. Give it to me now, because when he's famous (or infamous), he won't give me the time of day. Dated, please. Thank you.

Well, he made you a valentine today (extra glitter!) and he's signing it-so there you go.

I'm experimenting with some off-the-wall flavoured candies (juniper flavoured hard candy (gin?) and lavender caramels) which if they don't turn out to be inedible, we can send along as well. I keep wanting to mix herbs with sweets, but it takes some skill to keep everything from tasting like a high-end Ricola cough drop. Anyway, that's our little valentine's day project.
