You're right about it being stuff. I almost sort of wish the stuff had just been carried off to OZ or wherever tornadoes land things because clean-up is so wet and miserable, but yes, we are all perfectly OK-as is the entire town. I still can't believe no one even got a minor injury. I guess we have better than average warning systems.
Thanks for thinking of us. We leave our air conditioned hotel today as the weather is expected to coool, but I'm such a wimp we may be right back if we don't have power on soon at the house. I just woke-up and it is pouring rain-again today.
Oh my gosh, I was on vacation last week and completely missed all of this. I'm glad to hear you and yours are safe and well.
We had some minor water issues last weekend and had to make some quick decisions about what to pitch and what to keep. I know it's supposed to be "just stuff", but it should be MY decision to pitch it, not Mother Nature's. Fortunately, most of what needed to be tossed was in the "Why have I been keeping this?" category.
Thank you for your kind offer of emergency shelter. It's nice to know there are options, as long as it doesn't blow away before we get there. :-)
Sorry to hear about the damage done to your home and town. Hope that insurance guy shows soon!
ReplyDeleteSo relieved that the family is OK. Stuff is stuff.
