Honestly, the magazine hasn't been worth reading in many, many years. I still enjoy my old copies from the late 60's and early 70's, but the recent issues get a quick glance and then sit in a pile atop a bookcase. I can't think of the last time I made something from them.
The travel articles used to be worth the cost of the magazine.
In recent years, I felt the magazine was at times actually insulting to anyone that had even the most remedial knowledge of cooking. I don't know what audience they were seeking, but clearly I was not part of it. Apparently, I wasn't alone.
Sorry to see it go? Not really, it seems almost merciful to put the damn publication out of the suffering misery.
