I won't pretend I'm enjoying getting adjusted to new tri-focals (hey, why are the curbs so high?) but having beautiful frames helps.
These are vintage frames that I purchased on Etsy from Just The Good Stuff

They were a fantastic deal at $47.00 and in great condition. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase glasses there again (and I likely will). The nose pads and the plastic thingies at the end of the stems needed replacement as the acetate had started to decompose, but the staff at Malbar Vision were able to get them fixed up with a bit of improvising. I'm delighted with how they look, though it is a bit of a shock when I catch sight of myself in a mirror. They're the same shape as my Artcraft glasses, but the bright gold is well...bright!
The downside of better vision is seeing what you hadn't been. So far I haven't spotted any long hairs growing from my chin, but it is only a mater of time.
Wowzers, dear gal, these new frames are show-stoppingly awesome!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous, so fabulously gorgeous!
