We've had wave after wave of Dark Eyed Juncos at our feeder today, as the first real snow of the season came in.
We live at the top of a steep hill, and all afternoon I have watched cars struggling up it, only to see brake lights come on as drivers skid down the other lane. Then, predictably a jerk will try to pass the stopped cars in the uphill lane...sigh. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. We live in the Midwest-it isn't like we don't know how to drive in snow!
