It has been ages since I did one of these round-up posts, but there's so much good stuff out there to see, read, and purchase I thought it high time to do a post. None of the products/companies are compensating me in any way for my opinion, and I have not purchased from all of them. I'm passing the information along because I think it may be interesting/helpful.
Plus Size Vintage Clothing (that you'd want to wear) at Hey Fatty
http://www.heyfatty.com.au/products
I love the in-your-face attitude, the beautiful selection of clothes, and the prices are excellent (though shipping might be $$ outside of Australia).
Martin's Mercantile-beautiful, historic clothing.

The fact that you can hop on the Internet and buy yourself Civil War era clothing is mind boggling. If you're a collector, I suggest you get over there immediately before the collection sells out. Because it will-it is a breathtaking collection.
Etsy seller Ellipsis, Then Dot Vintage Emporium
https://www.etsy.com/shop/EllipsisThenDot?ref=shopsection_shophome_leftnav
A great selection of reasonably priced vintage items with an emphasis on plus sized fashion.
Whetstone Woodenware
http://www.whetstonewoodenware.com/index.php
I would be happy to have one of everything they make, but realistically, spoons are what I need most (my last wooden spoons were purchased the day before Danny was born). These are almost too pretty to use.
The Perfumed Court
http://theperfumedcourt.com/
Sells decants of fragrances you otherwise couldn't afford (OK I couldn't afford it). This is a nice way to try out a new scent without a huge price commitment. If you're looking for pre-reformulation Mitsouko, this is a good place to start.
How to Make a Terrarium
http://theperfumedcourt.com/
You'll be tempted to make the terrarium out of an old television, but beginners may wish to start small. I love, love, love the small terrarium in a jar that can be worn as a necklace. This would make an excellent party favour. We used this site for information when assembling our own terrarium (still thriving).

Good Goth
http://goodgoth.com/
Great selection of boots (all man made materials) and clothing that can work well with a vintage wardrobe. Their prices are good as well.
The Website of photographer Ellen Rogers who does beautiful low-light photography

Scarfolk Council

Because it will make you laugh.
Fashion Era
http://www.fashion-era.com/index.htm
Really helpful site that I use as a reference often. There's good stuff there.
Will check 'em out. I know and love Scarfolk Council - I might have guessed it would be your cup of tea too! xxx
ReplyDeleteJust on my way out, these are all new to me so will check out when I can grab a moment. Thanks.
