Yeah, I'm wearing it off the shoulders like a fashionable asshole.
There, I fixed it.

I'll be back tomorrow with a final jumpsuit. You'll need sunnies to look at it!
Excellent! One never needs an occasion to wear exactly what one feels like wearing. In fact, I do subscribe to the line that the only occasions when one shouldn't necessarily wear whatever one fancies, without exception, are someone else's wedding, and someone else's funeral...
ReplyDeleteYou'd be the best dressed person in our Post Office as well if you came to visit! That silver coat dress is blooming fabulous and the jewellery rocks.
ReplyDeleteNo cocktail today? Mine will be white rum and cola and I might even chuck in an ice cube or two. Jon's been to Lidl. xxx
Wow - you need to find a babysitter and drag your husband off out somewhere posh. You look fabulous and I just love the silver maxi over the jumpsuit. Can't you just hop on a plane and come to my OH's work do? You'll certainly look the bees knees!
ReplyDeleteChokers are apparently very on trend; I love yours.
Enjoy your weekend

That silver Estevez maxi is too fab!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely glamorous outfit. So why don't designers make clothes like that anymore? That would look great on all body types. I want Goody to be my designer!
Oh joy, just envisioning you in this post-party ensemble at our semi-rural post office where the usual attire is giant sports shoes, baggy jeans or sweats, a Colts hoody and a Deere hat. (It's a unisex uniform, although the locals would be shocked at any sexual reference to their costumes du jour.)
ReplyDeleteThe rhinestone collar is splendid, rather like one of The Queen's crown-turns-into-necklace treasures. And one does appreciate the dainty flower snap closure on the bag. Once upon a time, things were done with an eye for the detail!
@Radostin
ReplyDeleteMy sister wore a bright pink dress and matching ballet flats to our mother's funeral!
@Vix
Oh no, I forgot the cocktail!
I've never bought white rum (admittedly I only use rum to bake) but now I'll keep an eye out for it. I had no idea you could use it in a rum and cola (here they would use dark rum). I'm trying to get the bar stocked up for the holidays.
@Veronica
We never have had an evening out alone! Our families are far flung, and when we lived out in the country on a farm there just wasn't anyone around to hire, so almost twelve years later we haven't had a night out alone as a couple. Pretty soon Danny will be old enough to stay home alone...and we'll be too old to want to go anywhere!
Can you come babysit?
@Bibi
I'd love to be your designer, particularly if I could get my hands on some of those incredible fabrics you have! Oh, the caftans we'd create together!
@Beth
After a dozen years on the farm I am happy to glam-up for my daily chores. I never went in for the Deere-wear, but I confess to wearing the same three (very utilitarian) dresses year round with cardigans and thermals added in the wintertime. Everything gets covered in mud, and the hard water ruins everything in the wash-so why bother, right?
That is very glam, and so perfect for lining up at the post office.
ReplyDeleteI love the silver maxi, and of course you had to wear it to the shops! I guess that caused quite a stir, as well as quite a few stares. xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, you dress like that for the Post Office? I thought you must be going out with Mr ETB.
