The straw bag may say, "Spring" but the snow flurries this morning most certainly do not! Ah well, each day it stays cold is another day I don't need to shave my legs, or polish my toenails (I try to see the positive in things).
Er...moving along...this twin-set was a lucky find at Hand-me-Ups. I do wish it were a bit larger (or that I were a bit smaller) but it is still perfectly wearable. As I'd packed away most of my warmer clothes, I was happy to find something to get me through these very odd, early days of Spring.

What an awesome giveaway prize to win! Congrats! I love your twin set, it is just gorgeous and it looks fantastic on you! I can't believe you had some flurries there. Usually we are the cold ones but it has been lovely lately for once. Your bag is such a great find! Stay warm!

Wow, great giveaway gifts!
ReplyDeleteLove that twin set on you. Looked up the notes in Coty's Geminesse & it sounds wonderful. Have you tried Coty's drugstore classic Sand & Sable lately?
Still smoky, hot & nasty here but rain is predicted for Tuesday. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
What a lovely prize to win, Goody. That twin set looks good on you and I like the sweater clip. That straw bag is gorgeous. xxx
ReplyDeleteThe floral sweater clip is a nice reminder that, twin set notwithstanding, it is spring! The straw bag complete the transitional look, et voila!
ReplyDeleteNo snow flurries here. However, we are experiencing week-long bouts of thunderboomers and heavy rains. Danny would find the fungi, mushrooms and lichen emerging in mulches verrry interesting!
Hoorah for a win! After the rough time you've been having lately, you deserve something nice.
ReplyDeleteWell done on winning the give away!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow flurries in late April in London apparently - my eldest grandson is at uni there; plus quite a lot of hailstones here, but the weather now seems to be settling down - to be warmer. I still haven't got my summer stuff out yet, but I've got the white jeans out and have worn loafers with no socks so I'm getting there.
I love your red, white and black outfit - it's such a crisp colour combination. The bangles are fabulous - as always, and I love the twinset and bag.
How did Danny's canning ( is that what it's called?) go? Are you well stocked up now for the year ahead?
Have a great week, too.

Oh! I'm so happy the package arrived! I know it's annoying to complain about the endless sunny weather here in So Cal but I really and truly miss wearing sweaters and wooly things. This is a beautiful twinset. And all the more beautiful on you. Yep. We're friends forever!
ReplyDeleteYay! Do glad you won that fabulous book - you deserve it .
ReplyDeleteThe red, white and blue outfit is wonderfully cheery and Spring-like, even if the weather isn't. We had to scrape the frost off the van on Saturday morning and our friends couldn't get to see us in Manchester as the snow was so bad.
Probably have a heatwave and a water shortage next week! xxx
@Rebecca
ReplyDeleteCThank you.
Yes, it is strange weather.
@Bibi
Can you believe I've never tried it? I should remedy that.
@Ann
Thank you. I do love a good sweater clip.
@Beth
I could send him to you if you need help identifying fungus.
@Mim
Thank you. I'm still breathing so, I won't complain.
@Veronica
Canning/bottling/preserving-all more or less the same process.
It went well. Now we wait until September to see if he wins ribbons.
@Connie
Thank you again, the books are bringing me much enjoyment.
@Vix
The snow was that bad?! That's terrible. I think the earth is trying to fight back and we're too stupid to read the signs.
