Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream

I used a basic vanilla ice cream recipe from Dorie Greenspan, HERE and stirred in 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped and some chopped Bing cherries. It was exactly what I wanted.

I hate to call anything "foolproof" because heaven knows there are a lot of fools out there, but as long as you keep an eye on it and don't scramble the eggs in the custard, this is about as easy as ice cream making gets.

I can shoot myself everytime I see one of your ice cream delicacies!

a couple of years ago I bought 2 ice cream makers & didn't have much luck with it so I gave them to Goodwill. Why or why didn't I discover your blog sooner?!!

What a wonderful combination of ingredients. I can almost taste it!

That's where I bought my brand-new, never used ice cream maker for ten dollars-so perhaps you're not alone in giving them away.

I made quite a bit of bad ice cream, before I made good ice cream. There's a real learning curve.
