A Sparkling Blue Dress to Match the Sky

 Don't let the blue skies fool you-it was freezing out there! Still, the moulds and ragweed are dying, which is very good news for anyone with allergies.
The spiderweb leggings made their yearly debut.
 I was up early  baking the Barmbracks for Halloween. I made four-one for us, and three for my husband's office. Danny decorated some cookies shaped as pumpkins, cats, etc. and I'll probably make popcorn balls sometime before Tuesday. I stopped by Penzy's to replenish the baking spices before the holidays start. The fair used up most of my cinnamon/nutmeg/allspice/ginger. It definitely pays to buy in bulk if you bake a lot, which we do.

I'm lacto-fermenting some of the green cherry tomatoes from the end of the garden, and so far, so good. I pickled the nasturtium seeds, and made more spaghetti sauce for the freezer from the ripe tomatoes. I have a few quarts of green ones left that are destined for relish-then, I'm done. i do feel like it was a great accomplishment, but I'm ready to move on to other projects. I have Danny's yearly Birthday quilt to finish before December.

Despite dire forecasts of temps in the 90's going into November - it has cooled to lovely clear & mild days in the 70's here. FINALLY. Unfortunately Ag burning has started again though.
That sparkly dress looks a bit mermaid-y and gorgeous.
I do miss holiday baking & harvest fairs in the US- but i DO NOT miss all the holiday hype and frenzied consumerism.
I think all public restrooms worldwide could use some precision & elegance!

I do love a sequin of three in the daytime! That dress is a fabulous colour and the tights and boots are just fab.
I recognised that Maltese cross immediately, I've had some ace times in Malta. xxx

What a dress: I love both the colour and the sequins (note to self: must buy more sparkly things!) and I love how you combined it with the spiderweb leggings and boots. The Maltese cross necklace is just fabulous! The restroom sign made my smile. It would have been useful at work when my old colleague was still there ... xxx

The blue sequin ensemble is enchanting! Love how the glittering tights keep the line long!

The sign should be printed in 5 languages and installed in "family bathrooms" located in airports around the world, especially in Chicago.

@Bibi
Ugh, we have ag burning in the spring and it can get so bad you can't go outside for a week-you have my sympathies. Do you have portable room-sized air purifiers, or would they just get overwhelmed by the scale of the burning?

@Vix
Malta sounds interesting-not that I'll ever get there.

@Ann
There's the American rhyme you see in restrooms:
If you sprinkle when you tinkle
Please be neat
And wipe the seat.

See, you learn stuff here ;)

@Beth
O'Hare was never a nice place generally speaking, but I don't remember the toilets. Can't say I'm surprised though.

Excellent, I admire everything about this outfit. I really think it could be worn every day that it suited the weather and not get boring (though I suppose you'd lose too many sequins in time)

@Radostin
I have the same dress in red. I lose sequins all over, but that's sort of like leaving my calling card ;)

Oooh, shiny!

Has Danny's quilt got a theme this year? Wasn't the Monty Python one last year's quilt?
