Caftan Sunday-Easter Edition

This week's caftan is the shortest of my collection, and rarely gets worn except as a swimsuit cover-up.
Too early for the pool, so I wore a pair of tights to keep it from being indecent.
The garden is coming along nicely.
Outfit Particulars:
Caftan-K Mart a few years ago
Gold bangles-all over
Earrings-Gordman's
Both necklaces-The Mexican Shop, Evanston, Illinois-80's (but not everything they sold was Mexican-the place should have been called, The International Shop)
Rings-All over
Fragrance-L'Air du Temps

We celebrated Easter at the park.

 Boomerangs...
Foam planes...
 Soaring...
...oh, shit.
Danny dislodged it from the tree with his boomerang. Smart kid.
Visitors from space left cryptic messages at the playground.
LOOK! There's one of them now!

And there's another!
Outfit Particulars:
Martian pants Culottes-Goodwill
Shoes-Hand-Me-Ups
Tape-lace jacket-Hand-Me-Ups
Straw handbag-Goodwill
Necklace-Hand-Me-Ups
Earrings-Goodwill
 Comfort shoes.
All manner of propeller and launching toys. It was quite windy today, but Danny still managed to get most of them aloft.
The trees are all starting to do their thing. Good for the park, but murder for allergies. It was only after returning home that we read the pollen count combined with poor air quality from fires had combined to require a warning. I feel bad for anyone trying to fight a fire in these windy conditions today.
Pipal Park is an open-access park with ramps and playground equipment everyone can use. So many of our city parks are a very long walk over grass to get to the playground, which just wouldn't work in a wheelchair. There's a low fountain behind the slide that isn't on yet, but is also built in a way that children can splash about in it with varying degrees of mobility.  There are chair swings with safety belts as well. The city would do well to build more open-access parks like this one. It was a bit empty today being Easter, but typically there's a throng of children enjoying the playground and open space. Picnic tables and barbecue grills are also available. Can you tell this is one of my favourite city parks?

So that was Easter. I hope yours was enjoyable as well.

Your Kmart kaftan would be called a 'kurti' in India.
A kurti & salwars, churidars, or bell bottom jeans are my standard attire here. And a dupatta or some sort matching scarf & bangles galore.
Walmart used to stock some rather nice polyester caftans in their 'lingerie & foundations dept'. I used to buy them a lot for my mom when she became an 'invalid'. A $10 caftan certainly cheered mom up!

The tunic and tights ensemble suits you, Goody. The Vixenish massive bastard silver jewelry lifts it out of the PJs category -- often a hazard with caftans.

Clever lad, Danny. A plane in a shrub, a boomerang in the hand, et voila! Volare!

@Bibi
Excellent! I like knowing the proper names for my clothing.

That kid is smarter than his parents. I wish we could take credit for it, alas we cannot.

Ooh, another cool kaftan, and culottes too, all in the same post! Typically fabulous jewellery, and I like the sound of the park, thoughtful design to make a place accessible and inclusive should be more commonplace than it is. xxx

Hello Kaftan Queen. I like the short one worn with tights. What a nice day to be in a park launching things into trees. I used to love flying kites with the lads when they were small. We have a park across the road from us but the lads aren't so keen to fly kites with me anymore.
