Christmas Brooch of the Day-Day Ten

I used to know the story with this one but I've forgotten and Google isn't being helpful. It is a replica of something in the V&A. No idea what. Anyway, not specifically a Christmas brooch, but this is the time of year I wear it.

Oh, wow! That one's gorgeous, whatever the story behind it. I wouldn't immediately associate it with Christmas, you can wear it any time of the year! xxx

A star, a star, dancing in the night. With a tail as big as a kite! Love it!

Yup, I agree with everyone above, this is truly gorgeous. Which would definitely corroborate the theory that it's a copy of something at the V&A, where pretty much everything is gorgeous.

@Veronica
Thank you.

@Ann
It could almost look snowflake like, with a bit of imagination.

@Bibi
Oh, you don't want to know the re-written lyrics for that one my kid came up with!

@Beate
Thank you. I don't have new years eve plans, but New
Years day I have a party. Thanks for the suggestion to wear it.

@Radostin
I have a weakness for museum replica pieces, and I'm certain that's why I bought it but details? Ah, my old brain!

The shape reminds me of the classic Victorian star brooches, though those were usually in diamonds or pearls. (Google 'Jardine Star' for a look at the Queen's diamond monster.)
