There's a young woman working at the art store with a bit of an attitude. Standing in the aisle of ink, I said to Danny,
"I hope she's not working today, I'm not in the mood for her bullshit."
I heard the gasp before I looked up, and saw a mother and daughter that could have been Honey Boo Boo and Mama June. The mother quickly clamped both hands over her daughter's ears as she steered her by the head past us as quickly as possible. The father followed after, avoiding looking up.
It took about five seconds before the teenage couple standing next to us started laughing.
"Oooh, the lady said a bad word." the boy giggled.
"That's sort of mild for my mother." Danny added.
I shouldn't be as pleased with myself as I am.

Hahaha!!! We live next to a school. The little shits, I mean children throw things over the fence which land near my girls. One day I was outside when this happened and I told the kids to stop it, and if they knew the little shits that were throwing things, tell them to stop. Later that day a teacher called out to me over the fence. She asked me what had happened and said that some children said the lady over the fence used 'bad words', I laughed and said I could have used worse as I wasn't pleased with their antics. She left!! RESULT.
Oh my!
This sounds like a Hobby Lobby sort of incident. Bet this wasn't on a Sunday!

AHAHAHA! I can just picture it. You agent of evil, you.
And that little girl is probably whispering "bullshit!" under the covers at night, practising for her own teenaged rebellion.
Really Goody, using a bad word like "bullshit" in public. And in front of children, too ... I must say I like Danny's reaction. xxx
Danny's reaction to the over-reaction speaks well for you both! BS is BS is BS.
@Sue
I LOVE that story! I'll bet those kids stay well away from you now.
@Bibi
"Hobby Lobby-where you can everything you need, except birth control."
Wouldn't that be the best ad?
@Mim
There was a bit of a John Waters element to it all.
@Ann
By some miracle, Danny does not model my vulgar speech. I have no idea how that happened, but I can't (obviously) take any credit for it.
@Beth
I keep thinking of the song from the South Park movie about, "Instead of "Shit" say, "Poo."
