Upon looking at it closer it could use a paint touch-up. As a brooch collector, do you have a recommendation for enamel paint (that isn't nail varnish-which works, but I think I want to restore it) ?

Re: enamel paint restoration, I've repaired brooches with the paint sold to model railway/ plastic plane model enthusiasts. (Blog post on how to do it here: http://crinolinerobot.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/how-to-repair-vintage-enamel-jewellery.html)
