When my robe is halfway down my shoulder it is because I'm going from roasting to freezing in the space of a minute. Take note fashionistas, this look is called the menopause. Cripes, it takes everything not to stand with my head in the freezer some days.
No, you're not going to find a pattern like this in the fashion pages of the Guardian.
If you're going to attempt this trend, you'll need something sleeveless beneath the dressing gown. I suggest a bright green prom dress. This one has a heavily padded bust. So do I, so the pads are going before I wear this again. I have a nearly identical dress without the pleating. Why I require two floor-length green prom dresses is a good question. I don't have an answer, and no you cannot have the other.

So, obviously, you know I'm going to love this. 1960-70s maxi dress? Fabulous jewellery? Hair flower? A dressing gown? It's perfection!
I did not know about this trend, despite getting the Guardian every day. If it's in today's copy, then that will be why, I've been out all day. But I am glad you are setting the pace with Menopause Chic. You'd have fitted right in with our blogger meet-up today, there were discussions about sweats, pelvic floors, boobs, and painful feet. It's all about the glamour with us!
PS. Are you really sure you need BOTH frocks? Really? I'd happily take one off your hands... Just saying. xxxx
It is in a video on-line, and then they have the slideshow to show you where to, "get the look" for some insane amount of money.
That sounds like a good blogger meet up. Can't wait to read about it.
Menopause is a BITCH! And it just keeps on going. Love the look you had going on, you don't need any fashion advise from a newspaper my love, you are fine as you are!!!
I love those earrings. Dey da bomb!
(And I love that you "flang" your foot up onto the bathroom sink to get that shoe shot.)
Rocking the prom dress + dressing gown + granny tights look. Hope the library patrons appreciated the effort. . .
