The price actually went up a bit from the last time I was there, but it is still a fantastic deal. For the local readers, I bought this at the Warehouse Surplus in Wahoo, Nebraska.
The grains are a bit larger than the formulations for home bakers, but that's really not a problem if you proof the yeast in warm water first. I find it is more active than the supermarket yeast and that I can use less. They also have large packages of SAF instant yeast at reasonable prices.
The store is odd-some things are outrageously overpriced, and then others are so cheap they are practically free. Rye flour is also a good value there.
Anyway, if you don't mind a ride to Saunders County, the place is worth a visit for serious bakers.
